Moon Palace Golf & Spa Resort Cancun

A short 20 minute drive from the heart of Cancun, this luxurious resort is off the beaten path of Cancun’s famed “strip”. This enormous resort boasts three separate lobbies which are filled with lighting so beautiful you’ll feel like you’re transported to another place. The banquet rooms are large. The resort is fun and upbeat, catering to visitors of all ages. We witnessed one wedding and also met a young couple preparing for their visitors arrival for their wedding, the upcoming weekend. Wi-fi is free, and included on all grounds of the property. It’s a perfect resort for weddings, honeymoons, or any other special occasion. There are truly too many amenities to name.

RIU Palace Peninsula

RIU is a fun up-beat resort. with beautiful grounds. There is somewhat of a theater seating for shows which is partially enclosed and some in the open. It reminds you of a cruise ship seating in a way. The resort has adult-only villas available if one chooses to stay in that area. Looking from a distance there appeared to be (at least) three pools and the backdrop of the Caribbean Sea makes them appear to flow right into it. This resort is at the very end of the strip, almost completely off the strip, then the RIU is found at the end. You can see the actual hotel strip from the beach. There’s shopping on site at the resort and the rooms are magnificent, with nice Jacuzzi tubs. The backdrop is beautiful.

Le Blanc Spa Resort

This is a true spa resort. Upon entering, everything was white and extremely “clean”, which heightened my expectations. The resort had an aroma of eucalyptus and scents that bring out an inner peace. There is a personal butler for every room, awaiting your arrival. There are fully stocked liquor bars in the rooms, as well as plenty of snacks. For weddings you will be provided with a welcome mini-cake and personally embroidered robes to take home, compliments of the resort. The front of the resort is amazing, with part of the lagoon flowing in the front as well as a beautiful pool. Then in the back, the Caribbean Sea splashes ashore.

Sandos Cancun Luxury Experience Resort

Sandos resort reminds me of a “traditional” resort that focuses on contemporary furnishing versus the new age furnishing seen in other resorts. It has a huge reception area atop the resort that is large enough to hold any wedding party. There is a Hibachi grill that is wildly popular as well. Bar One, appears to be a nice bar with a [automatic] piano that plays by itself and an inviting atmosphere for anyone. Sandos is located midway on the strip and convenient to shopping malls you’d find on the strip, but why leave?
